Terms of use
(Last updated: September 2025)
These Terms of use (“Terms”) govern the use of the online intensive courses, memberships, and digital products offered by Spanish Reasons Ltd. (“Company,” “we,” “us”). By purchasing or accessing our products and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By enrolling in or purchasing our products, you also agree to Teachable’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
In the event of any conflict between our Terms and Teachable’s Terms of Use or Privacy Policy, Teachable’s terms will prevail.
1. Scope
These Terms apply to all products and services we provide, including:
- Repaso Total (membership program).
- Intensive courses (e.g., Español Coloquial, Hablar del Pasado).
- Downloadable products (e.g., audiobooks, digital packs).
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or use our products.
- You confirm that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Products and Access
✅ Repaso Total (Membership Program)
- This is a subscription service. As long as your payments are up to date, you’ll have access to the content, live sessions, and materials.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- You can cancel your subscription easily at any time through your personal account in Repaso Total.
- If you cancel, your access continues until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for. After that, your access ends.
- Membership access is tied to the existence of the program. If the program closes, we’ll notify you in advance. Where possible, you’ll be able to download certain resources before closure.
👉 This means your access continues only while your subscription is active and the program exists. If one day Repaso Total has to close, you’ll be informed in advance.
✅ Intensive Courses (e.g., Español Coloquial, Hablar del Pasado)
- Intensive courses are purchased with a one-time payment. You’ll have access to the course for as long as the course and/or the teaching platform remain available.
- If a course is retired or the platform is discontinued, we will notify you in advance and, where possible, provide an option to download the materials.
👉 This means we do not guarantee the course will be available “for ever”, but we aim to keep courses available long term.
✅ Downloadable Products (e.g., audiobooks, digital packs)
- Downloadable products are yours to keep once purchased. You can save them permanently on your own devices.
- Because access is immediate and files can be stored locally, we do not guarantee ongoing re-download availability if the platform or product is retired. We encourage you to download and back up your files as soon as you receive them.
4. Prices and Payment
- Prices are shown at checkout. VAT may apply depending on your location and will be calculated automatically by our platform.
- Your payment details are handled securely by our payment processor (e.g., Teachable/Stripe). We do not have access to your full payment information.
- If you choose a payment plan, you authorize our payment processor to charge your payment method automatically on the scheduled dates until the plan is complete.
- If a payment fails, we may retry and suspend access until payment is successful.
- Prices may change over time. We aim to keep subscription fees stable for existing subscribers as long as their subscription remains active. However, we reserve the right to adjust subscription fees for existing subscribers in the future if necessary. Any changes will be communicated to you in advance. New or returning subscribers will pay the price shown at checkout at the time they sign up.
5. Refund Policy
Cooling-Off Period
By enrolling in our digital products or membership programs, you agree to receive immediate access to the content. As a result, you acknowledge and consent that you waive any statutory cooling-off rights (including the standard 14-day withdrawal period available in the EU/UK), since the service begins right away and cannot be returned.
We want you to be happy with your purchase. Please read carefully how refunds work for each type of product:
✅ Repaso Total (Membership Program)
-
Refunds for First Enrollment
Refunds are offered only once per person/account, as a way to check the product. This is not a free trial, but a one-time opportunity to ensure the program meets your expectations. A refund request must be made within 7 days of your initial enrollment in Repaso Total.
(Note: Refunds are normally limited to 7 days, but if Teachable’s payment system applies a longer statutory period (e.g., 14 days), that rule will take precedence. In practice, we honor refund requests as long as Teachable’s system allows us to process them).
-
Subscriptions and Cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account. Your access will remain active until the end of your current billing period, but no further payments will be taken.
Example: If charged on June 1 for a monthly plan and you cancel on June 10, you’ll still have access until June 30, but no refund will be issued.
-
Renewals
Renewals are non-refundable. Once a payment has been processed, we cannot return it.
-
Goodwill Exception
As a gesture of goodwill, and at our sole discretion and without obligation, we may issue a one-time refund if you forget to cancel before renewal. Such refunds are not guaranteed and may not be repeated. This exception is voluntary and does not alter our general non-refundable policy for renewals.
Multiple accounts created by the same person will be treated as one account for this policy.
✅ Intensive Courses
- You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not completed more than 30% of the course.
- If you have accessed or completed more than 30% of the course content, we reserve the right to refuse a refund.
- Refunds will usually be processed through the same payment method you used for purchase.
✅ Downloadable Products (e.g., audiobooks, digital packs)
- Due to their digital nature, all sales are final. Once the files have been delivered or made available for download, no refunds can be issued.
Please check product descriptions carefully before purchase to ensure they are right for you.
Legal Exceptions
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights. If the law in your country grants you additional protections, those rights will remain valid.
👉 This simply means our policy cannot override the consumer protection laws in your country.
6. Intellectual Property
-
Ownership
All course content, videos, audio, transcripts, exercises, and downloadable materials remain the intellectual property of Spanish Reasons Ltd.
-
License
You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to access and use the content for personal learning only. Use of the materials for any commercial or teaching purposes is strictly prohibited.
-
Restrictions and Enforcement
Redistribution, resale, sharing, modification, reproduction, or creation of derivative works from the content is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of access without refund. We also reserve the right to pursue legal action to protect our intellectual property.
7. Acceptable Use
When using our platforms, you agree not to:
- Share your login details or allow others to access your account.
- Upload or post illegal, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise harmful content.
- Copy, distribute, reverse engineer, or exploit materials for commercial use.
- Disrupt courses, live sessions, or platforms in any way.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules and/or pursue legal remedies where appropriate.
8. Limitation of Liability
- Our courses and services are provided “as is” for educational purposes only. While we aim to deliver high-quality content, we do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, error-free, or that you will achieve specific learning outcomes.
- We are not liable for technical issues beyond our control (e.g., internet outages, platform downtime).
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
- Our total liability for any claim connected with our Services is limited to the amount you paid, if any, for the course, subscription, or product that gave rise to the claim.
- Nothing in this section limits liability where it cannot be excluded by law.
👉 This simply means we cannot promise results, and we are not responsible for problems outside our control. The most we could ever refund you is the amount you paid for the course or product.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
-
We process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and only for purposes connected with providing and improving our services.
-
By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
- All payment information is handled securely by third-party providers (e.g., Teachable, Stripe, and other trusted providers as necessary). We do not directly process or control your financial data.
- While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted online.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales (United Kingdom).
- If you are a consumer residing in the EU or another country with mandatory consumer protections, you may also rely on the legal rights granted in your place of residence.
- Any disputes shall be brought before the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory law in your country of residence requires proceedings in your local courts.
👉 In plain words: our legal base is in the UK. However, if your local law requires it, you may still have the option to use the courts in your own country.
11. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms from time to time at our sole discretion.
- Significant changes will be communicated by reasonable means (e.g., email or within your account), especially if they affect your rights or obligations.
- Continued use of our products after updates means you accept the new Terms.
- Our refund policy, including any goodwill exceptions, may also be updated. Refunds are not guaranteed rights and remain at our sole discretion.
